Off The Grid

I did quite a bit of stuff on MTPGS last night. I’ve got the 9-grid square scrolling smoothly now, and I’ve built the majority of the system that will be gathering adjacent map tiles at the correct distances apart. Really pleased with the progress actually.

My next focus will be to actually write the method that +/- km values to the centre GPS point (values that will be contained in a HashMap that holds each constant km value per map zoom level).

So, in priority order, my current tasks are:

  1. Write “add km to GPS point” method
  2. Implement semi-persistent storage system of tiles
  3. Tidy up code
  4. Implement proper zoom-level changes

That should do for now. I might get 1 done tonight, possibly a bit of 2. Ta ta!
